Ancient Impressions and Divine Images

 The images created by Maya Malay evoke strong feelings of beauty and mysticism. Combining themes and symbols from around the world with her own interpretations and representations, the artist expresses the love of Nature, Spirit and Truth in a sensitive, yet powerful way.

     Maya's most recent series, Ancient Impressions and Diivine Images Places, is a visual pilgrimage that follows the mysterious path of the Heart, with it's many doorways of initiation and exaltation.

    The combination of painting, collage and poetry reveals to the viewer a passage through time where the Soul’s journey magically opens to Divine Love and Spiritual Awakening.

 

   Malay received her B. F. A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. Focusing on painting and print making, she continued her studies under the guidance of several accomplished artists. Among them was Henry Henche of the Cape School of Art in Provincetown.

   Maya's work has been shown extensively throughout the nation in numerous exhibitions and publications. Her award winning art is represented in the collection of The World Bank, the Department of State Permanent Loan Collection, Independence Title and other corporations, as well as many private collections.
